I'm surprised to find it missing -- it's such a standard feature. This seems a very reasonable request. Should it be revisited ? I have just marked as duplicate bug 540357, which had been open for 15 years until now. So maybe bug 241159 should be reopened instead ? It is currently marked as duplicate of duplicate Core/XUL bug 372206, which was WONTFIXed because > I don't think anyone is going to work on this given the plan to remove the XUL "tree" widget (bug 1446335). But this wouldn't be a reason not to implement bug 241159 today.
