There appears to be a scripting problem with the flight lookup page for United
Airlines. On the flight lookup page, enter a valid flight number into the field
right underneath the "flight status" icon. It shouldn't be hard to find a valid
flight number first. After clicking check, the web page continues to spin on
the "Please wait while we retrieve the flight information you requested."
prompt, and never goes any further. With Netscape 4.7x, the web page promptly
continues to display the flight information. This web page appears to use lots
of Javascript, which appears to be the most likely problem area. Sorry that I
can't be more specific.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.ual.com/site/homepage/0,10029,REDIRECT,00.html (this is the
current redirect location of their home page, otherwise try
http://www.united.com/ and go from there).
2. Enter a valid flight number underneath the "flight status" icon. Today,
9/17/2001, for example, enter flight "904".
3. Click on "check".
Actual Results: A temporary page goes up "Please wait while we retrieve the
flight information you requested", and stays displayed forever.
Expected Results: The temporary page quickly being replaced with the requested
flight information.
