Steps to reproduce:

I tried to send an email to an invalid recipient address (invalid domain name). I did not hit "OK" in the alert dialog, but I hit cancel in the "sending message" dialog in the background. The alert dialog is still open. Now I hit "OK" in the alert dialog. Then a new confirm dialog shows up: "There was an error saving the message to . Retry?". I hit "OK" there. 


Actual results:

Message has not been sent, but it has been copied into the sent mail folder! This confuses most users.


Expected results:

An unsent message must not show up inside the sent mail folder! 

I would have expected
1) the alert dialog showing an "Abort" button insted of an "OK" button.
2) the alert dialog being modal (i.e. user input for the "sending message" dialog should not possible while the alert dialog is still open).
