Hi-

Let's redesign /channel to replace the Aurora and Beta PHP download pages.

Once this page is redesigned, we can redirect and delete the PHP pages.

/firefox/channel/ doesn't have the install instructions of Aurora for mobile, but people who use Aurora might be able to install non-market apps without instructions.

Habber is working on wireframes and Mike will work with John Slater on a schedule later this week.  I'd like to include a little bit of design work and maybe optimistically hope we could have it done by the end of June?

/firefox/aurora/ and /firefox/beta/ have several bugs, including Bug 611120, Bug 886779 and Bug 995539. And :tchevalier found a new bug: cannot download Beta on localized /firefox/beta/ page (a regression from Bug 1006616, not yet reported). I also +1 to redirect those pages to /firefox/channel/ now without waiting for the upcoming redesign.

What is the status of this bug? At the moment, https://www.mozilla.org/ doesn't link anywhere to the channels page and people can't find Beta and Nightly releases by visiting Mozilla's home page. (ESR is also not linked anymore, but I am unsure if it's covered by this bug.)

This bug is on hold pending prioritization and direction from Firefox Product or PMM teams.

Closing for now.  PHP pages have been redirected.  Redesign of /channel still on hold.
