Figure out sizing and if we can use the stands in the Toronto office. Then design and print banners and ship to major locations for MP kick-offs.

Yes we can use the Toronto stands. I'm working on finding the best printer for the banners in terms of cost-effectiveness and quality.

Toronto stands:  19 of the 85cm wide ones 
13 of a slightly smaller size 79cm (31 inches wide). 

The banners for them were originally printed in the UK (exact location unknown) but according to Mari it's a standard size and any printing place should be able to do banners that fit and if there's any concern we can bring in one of the banner stands to them.

Copy request for the banner.

Are we going with something longer "Maker Party is Mozilla's global campaign to teach the web. Through  thousands of community-run events around the world, Maker Party unites educators, organizations and enthusiastic web users with hands-on learning and making."? or something shorter like a tagline?

My instinct is definitely shorter copy or no copy at all, like the right hand example in your screenshot above. That way it can be sent to non-English speaking countries if required, plus the banners can be reused next year. Plus it just looks better!

I defer to Amira, though. Amira, please let me know if you'd like a short line of copy such as "Join Mozilla's global campaign to teach the web" on these banners.

Also Amira, I would like to know what elements are necessary to be included besides MP logo for example: mozilla wordmark, webmaker wordmark etc.

Lucy, can I get your input on copy for the standing banner? Shorter line of copy is preferred (see previous screenshot and comments for reference).

Also, if there are elements that are necessary to include on the banner let me know.

I agree with including just the first line "Maker Party is Mozilla's global campaign to teach the web." but also maybe include a web address beneath it. Thoughts?

Shorter line preferred. 

In terms of what else to include:
MP logo
MP site
Mozilla Webmaker logo (the long Webmaker one that has "Mozilla's Webmaker")
Short description (maybe a quick tagline "celebrate MP" if it fits or seems needed with design")

I'll upload the Webmaker badges banner in the office right now for some inspiration.

Update: I am on a quest to get these printed by June 9th! 

My original printing scheme fell through yesterday because of the way our banners are attached (glued) to the stands. However, Staples to the rescue! They claim it should be fine and I am bringing them our banner stands tomorrow morning to get final confirmation and set-up the printing (fingers crossed).

Hey Sabrina! Sorry to be a pain but when I took the image to the printers today they said they need it in 33.5 - 83 with a half inch bleed. Are any of the images we have that size?
