In bug 961980 we are going to implement the feature to preview the sounds when we adjust the sliders in settings -> sound. According to the spec in bug 961980. page 5: --- Play a preview sound with the assigned volume. The preview sound is: ... Alarm: The Sound of the closest active alarm in Clock app(If it is “No Sound” or there is no active alarm, use the default sound of alarm.) --- So we need the clock tone to be saved in mozSettings so that Settings app is able to get and preview it. Currently we save the ringtone and alerttone by using the keys |dialer.ringtone| and |notification.ringtone| in mozSettings, probably |alarm.ringtone| will be a good choice to align all these settings.
Hope could help this at next sprint.
