The vertical column of letters on the right side of the contacts list is difficult to interact with. Tapping directly on a letter causes an onscreen contact to be selected instead. The contact selected at this point is noticably above the area tapped by the user. The user must instead tap to the left of the letter in order to jump to that letter in the alphabet.

This issue does not occur when edge gestures are disabled.

Repro Steps:
prerequisite: have a large amount of contacts, spanning multiple letters of the alphabet

1) Update Open_C to Build ID: 20140515040207
2) Launch contacts app
3) Tap on letters in column on right edge of contacts list

Actual:
The list does not jump to the letter tapped. Instead, an onscreen contact is selected and the details of that contact are displayed

Expected:
Letters column is easy to interact with

Added a URL for the video. Video shows without edge gestures and with edge gestures.

The video makes this look like the touch inputs are all off when edge gestures is on.

I don't reproduce the behavior from the video on a keon.
Can somebody confirm that this is a hidpi-only issue? If yes it's a dup of bug 984897.

Yup, only reproduces on Open C, can't reproduce on Buri.
