NB: This is likely related to Bug 88427 ("addressing pane of mail compose window sticks"). To reproduce: [1] In Preferences->Mail and Newsgroups->Addressing, under Address Autocompletion, turn on "Local Address Books" (only). [This is what may distinguish this bug from 88427.] [2] Open a compose window. [3] Pick any address from your Local Address book, type it in N times, where N is large enough to make the first address scroll off the top of the addressing panel. Observe: Upon scrolling back to the top of the addressing panel, the first entry has vanished (the line is blank), but you can't click in or edit the field. (The field is still there, because if you go ahead and deliver the message, it is correctly received by the "vanished" recipient.) Note: There may be a deeper bug than what's described here. I have observed, but can't replicate, a crashing case where the "vanished" entry reprinted itself as "null" just before crashing Mozilla.
I have that, too. More precisely: All addresses ever scrolled out of view appear empty when you scroll back. It doesn't matter if the address is from the local abook or not. Also, the address are still "there" in that the mail will be correctly delivered, and they also show up on the message in the "send" folder. This looks like a UI bug to me.

I've seen this bug a while ago but I dont seem to be able to reproduce this anymore. May be this is fixed. Robert, Can you try with the latest build and see if you can still reproduce this problem

This bug no longer manifests itself in 0.9.5. I'd be happy to see this one resolved as duplicate of 96899, or whatever dispensation you see fit. Thanks!
