[Vertical Homescreen] Intermittent icons jump to wrong position after moving drag drop
User long presses App icon and slides icon from the initial group to another group. Intermittently, when user taps the same icon and moves it back to the original group it was housed, the icon demonstrates a pulsating effect – like a hiccup of being double zoomed in before the user prior to the icon settling in its natural position. Repro Steps: 1) Update a Flame to BuildID: 20140523073020 2) Long press App icon and slide to another group 3) Long press same App icon and return it to the original group Actual: The icon presents like a double effect – zoom in to the user and out and zoom in to the user again and out to a fixed location on the homescreen before settling naturally. Expected: Graceful transition of the icon not showing a double effect and comfortably displays on the homescreen. 2.0 Environmental Variables: Device: Flame 2.0 MOZ BuildID: 20140523073020 Gaia: e83bd91c8f7c66f95d55cb741299e12bc8f7b429 Gecko: 681c5668d881 Version: 32.0a1 Firmware Version: v10G-2 Repro frequency: (5/10 = 50%) See attached: (video clip = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pAqIC038UA, logcat)
This issue reproduces on the Open C Engineering Build following the STR in Comment 0. Intermittently, 50 percent rate, the double pulsating effect is witnessed. Changing the title to something that is a little more clear to me. I don't see any "zoom" or "pulsation" problem, but it does appear that the icon jumps to the wrong location.

Just taking these bugs so no one else does as I'm doing a pretty big refactoring of how this works in bug 1017360.
