ESPN sends Firefox OS a very simple mobile site, lacks video content among other features

:: Steps To Reproduce

ESPN has two different mobile websites, one for "feature phones" which is pretty basic, mostly news headlines and article text, and one for "smartphones" which has a lot more features including video. Both these sites are served from m.espn.go.com.

Their backend browser detection is obviously not set up to consider Firefox OS devices among smartphone browsers. The ESPN team should review their browser detection and make sure they send Firefox OS the same site which Firefox on Android is already receiving.

Here's some HTTP traffic analysis to show how the sniffing works: when requesting with different User-Agent strings, there is a significant difference in source code:

Smallest response (Firefox OS) has Content-Length: 19371
Largest response (other browsers tested) has Content-Length: 55188

(For the record, they seem to detect version too and send older Fx OS devices a simpler site - on the assumption that they are really old Geckos, perhaps? Nothing we need to worry about now IMHO.)

How come I didn't find bug 828431 before reporting this though? Dupe. Oh well. I'll just combine the tests and drop testing one of the bug numbers..
