Restore communicator's ability to click on previous msg in a thread

Details
In communicator newsgroup reader, when you only display unread message in
threaded news, the message header includes a list of clickable numbers each
pointing to a previous message in the thread hierarchy. Since some of these
messages have been read, they don't show up in the message summary, but you can
still request them from the server by clicking on these numbers. This
functionality is very useful and should be restored.

This is about news reader it seems, but
the same can be said with Mail component.
In threaded messages, Netscape 4.xx could show
the referenced e-mails as "1,2,3..."
and we could click on the numbers to
see the referenced e-mail messages.
Quite handy.
I wish this functionality is restored in Mail component as well.
