using 2001.09.25.20-trunk comm bits on Mac OS 10.0.4 [384M ram, 450Mhz G3], i
found that if i ran the page load tests during the same browser session, each
run got slower and slower.
1st run: ave page load=2879ms
2nd run: ave page load=3908ms
3rd run: ave page load=5486ms
alas, i didn't get the mem usage on those runs...
let me know if you'd like these run again [i could provide mem info], along with
the report data.

this is a regression --to compare with a couple runs [same session] i had done
last week using the 2001.09.18.20-trunk comm bits:
1st run, ave page load=2366ms
2nd run, ave page load=2355ms

Yes. You'll notice after a few runs through the page loading tests that the UI
becomes very slow to update, and you'll see the spinning cursor a lot.
I'm currently investigating whether this is a regression from bug 71718.

sfraser and I were discussing whether this was akin to bug 93603. Maybe,
maybe not (sorry, I'm just in the process of catching up on the past week).
[More caffeine!]
we should look at this bug soon! :-)
