User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140606030206
Steps to reproduce:
Model: Open C
Software: FFOS_EU_EBAY_OPENCV1.0.0B05
Build ID: 20140519040012
OS Version: 1.3.0.0
Hardware revision: P821A10B01
1. Settings -> Display
2. Set brightness to anything lower than 100%
3. Lock screen
4. Unlock screen
If the device is rebooted, the lockscreen shows up and the brightness settings is whatever I configured. After I lock the device for the first time after reboot, the brightness is always set to 100%.
Actual results:
The brightness is always 100%. The only way to keep it at anything lower than 100% is to move the brightness slider under Settings -> Display and NOT lock the screen.
Expected results:
Brightness adjustments should be whatever the user has chosen.
The display will occasionally return to 100% brightness as well even before going to the lock screen. I have the screen timeout set to one minute, and if I let the phone idle and then use it again shortly before the screen turns off, it will instantly turn up to 100% brightness when my finger touches the screen. I didn't have this issue on the Open C until I downloaded an update some time around the beginning of June or the very end of May.

I confirm this behaviour on my device. Although the brightness seems to return not to 100% but whatever is the default value in FxOS (maybe 75%?)
Model: Open C
Software: FFOS_EU_EBAY_OPENCV1.0.0B06
Build ID: 20140523093151
OS Version: 1.3.0.0

I found out that this only happens when the brightness is set below a certain threshold. If I set the brightness to about 33% on my phone and I later wake it up from standby, the screen will remain at 33% brightness as expected. If I set the brightness slider at any point lower than this, then it returns to 80-100% brightness when woken up from standby.
