Environment: Build: Firefox for Android 33.0a1 (2014-06-25) Device: Asus Transformer Pad TF300T (Android 4.2.1) Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to gmail.com or yahoomail.com; 2. Long tap on Email/ Username field; 3. Tap "Add Search Engine"(the magnifying glass icon) from the action bar. Actual result: The field can be added as search engine. Expected result: Just search boxes can be added as search engines. Notes: Performing a search using Gmail search engine, will display the searched word in the email field. Can not add gmail.com or yahoomail.com as search engines via Menu-> Page -> Add a Search Engine - the option is disabled.

What's the field detection code like if any? Perhaps this can be mentored as a paper-cut bug.

This is also ( and still) reproducible with other non search fields ( go to wizzair.com and add departure/destination/wizzcode fields as search engines - make a search - error displayed)
