Incomplete French i18n in the global faceted search results (obtained with CTRL+K) [Mac]

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/30.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140605174243
Steps to reproduce:
I searched for all emails exchanged with a given address using the global search toolbar (CTRL+K). I am using MacOS X (French version) and Thunderbird v24 (French version).
Actual results:
In the search results interface, some i18n was missing: in the email timestamp, yesterday was correctly translated into "hier", but "Wednesday" was used instead of "mercredi"...
Expected results:
i18n should have been consistent in the entire search results interface.

Is this still seen in Thunderbird 38 - available via Help | about | check for updates?
Can you provide a screen shot?

My apologies for taking so long to answer. I updated to v38.0.1 (latest for MacOS) and the i18n problems are still there. You can have a look on the capture.png file in attachment.

Hi, sorry for late reply (this was an old Bugzilla accound, now disabled).
Just tried on Ubuntu with latest Daily build, can't reproduce, I can see "dimanche" (Sunday).
Could this be an OS issue?

Thanks Théo for the feedback: it seems definitely an OS issue since it only shows up on MacOS. But you could also rephrase this: it seems to be an issue regarding the way Thunderbird handles OS-specific information... Thanks in advance for your help!

(In reply to Wayne Mery (:wsmwk, use Needinfo for questions) from comment #7)
> Eckard, what do you think?
Sorry for the delay, I'd been away on holiday.
I'm seeing the same problem in Thunderbird 38.3.0 (French locale) on Mac OS X 10.10.
Since I'd never paid attention to it, I'm unable to say in which TB version this problem appeared for the first time.

Reproduced on current stable release (38.3.0) with OS X 10.9.4, french locale too.
I can provide a screenshot if needed too.
If the problem is related to informations coming from the operating system, it can be useful to check other locales too, by the way.
