Same thing here, it's not picking up the city but is not crashing, w2k build

Use a talkback enabled build. After Talkback submitted the crash run:

Reproduced on 2001072622 WinXP.

Selected the city of Alexandria,
busy-mouse cursor appeared for ~5 seconds,
then Mozilla crashed and talkback came up.

Ok - downloaded the exact one you said.

Problem is *NOT* gone.

Problem has *CHANGED*, it is *BETTER*, now No Crash :->

However - Selecting an item from the list now causes Mozilla
to do something... then redraw the screen and the selection
I have made is now GONE.

Based on commet by Terri, I believe Terri has same problem
that I now have, and same problem that I have on my home machine.

FYI - You gave a ZIP as the download path. 
Took a bit to figure out where to placet his. The ZIP contains
a root "/bin" path. This needed to change to "/Mozilla" after I
copied it to correct location.

Note this little snippet of code:

    if (navigator.appName == "Netscape" && parseInt(navigator.appVersion) >= 3)

Mozilla will reload the page automatically.  This code was put in for the
Netscape 4.x generation of browsers, to combat a known bug in that platform. 
This is an evangelism issue, the page is not correctly detecting the browser
platform.  (The new Option() statements should also be frowned upon, in favor of
the DOM.)

The site has changed; the listed URL now redirects to

which does not have a city select box.

Instead it has a broken HierMenu.

The hiermenus have been updated to a newer version:
http://www.ponl.com/std/hiermenus/HM_scripts/HM_Loader.js

The page now works ok in Mozilla.

Fixed.
