Steps to reproduce:
1. Start Firefox in e10s windows.
2. Goto http://www.theverge.com/
3. Start scrolling.
Actual results:
Grey strips on picture elements.
Expected results:
No grey strips on picture elements

Confirmed on Win7 64-bit, though the stripes are colored instead of grey.
It happens only when scrolling up, not down. And only when scrolling fast, like with Page Up or rapidly spinning the mouse-wheel forward. Using the Up Arrow key is too slow.
Only those big tiles with text over the picture are affected. Simple images on the same page render ok.

I can reproduce this on linux64 with layer acceleration. This site doesn't use actual <picture> elements however (and they're still behind a pref), so I'm assuming you just meant images

On Windows, in latest Nightly, the stripes are gone. Can you check on Linux?

With the latest nightly - 36.0a1 (2014-10-15) I feel its safe to say that this bug no longer exists.
The site works perfectly as it should
