This may coincide with the checkin for Simple MAPI, but now on startup I get
"login failed" for all listed accounts, in this case four accounts: work, aol,
webmail and yahoo. All failure dialogs come in succession, however, it appears
that I am successfully being logged in, as new mail does appear in my work
account at the very least.
Taking a guess that this has something to do with the simple mapi checkin.

I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with simple mapi. There's no over lap
between simple mapi and account login.
I'm using the same build as Kevin. No problems logging into any of my accounts
here (including webmail). FWIW

Happens 100% of the time on startup of Mail.

Changing component to Mail Back End per mscott's comments, and changing summary
to reflect that this is only happening for netscape webmail accounts. This is
happening on my WinME machine at home as well.
Adding nsbranch to get some swirl.
Component: Simple MAPI → Mail Back End
Keywords: nsbranch
Summary: Getting "Login Failed" for all accounts on startup → Getting "Login Failed" for Netscape webmail accounts on startup

reassigning to mscott for the nsbranch nomination. I don't know if this is
related to mapi at all. Over the summer I could never login to webmail or aol
mail and it wasn't until I logged into IM in this product that I could use these
accounts. I don't know if something similar is happening. BTW, this should be a
bugscape bug.

IMHO - the servers seemed *whack* yesterday. However, I haven't had a problem
logging into WebMail in a week, and when I did have a problem, it seemed to be
both in 4x and 6x.

we alreayd have a bugscape bug tracking intermitten webmail logon failures. Just
closing this one out. add yourelf to 9038. I also think it's just an intermitten
server problem and that bug will probably be closed out as WFM too.
