Precondition:
Battery is at 100% level and is plugged in for charging.
When battery level reaches 100% there is no indication that the device is still plugged in for charging.
need UX opinion on this

I agree we should indicate the battery fully charged and still plugged status.

Yes there should be a a lightning bolt when the battery is full.
