Currently Gaia shows very limited information to the user about their battery status making it hard to make informed decisions.

There are multiple things we can do here and this bug is a tracking one for this ideas.

Stephany, just to put this on your radar and so that you can help us get UX team to look at it and improve the story.

What I'm mostly interested in as my personal research are:

 - bug 864274 - show charging level next to battery icon on status bar when charging in lockscreen mode

 - bug 1115921 - show charging time at the bottom of the lockscreen in charging mode

 - bug 874345 - Battery status chart over time in Settings>Battery

With the last one I have a few ideas on top of that like showing prediction in the chart (like Android does), and making battery icon in the status bar clickable when notification bar is open to link to Settings>Battery, but I didn't file bugs for those yet.

And Ahmed is working on:

 - bug 810500 - enable user to switch statusbar to show battery level label all the time
