I tried to submit a patch but I realized in many usage of italic style in the Settings app certain statuses is only distinguishable with italic style
- APN Settings entries with "Custom"
- Status desc text on root panel for SIM Card, Carrier, etc., with special status (e.g. "SIM not ready")
Jenny, since this bug is about removing ugly italic styling, we need alternative style for these situations. Please advice.

As our offline discussion, I suggest to keep using regular style and add parentheses for distinguishing special status if the font style doesn’t offer italic as a choice.
Please let me know if there is any concern.
