Going to either of these sites (and probably others) will crash mozilla when you
are running the Shockwave plugin using the CodeWeavers Plugin tool for linux.
If I replace these plugins with the flash plugin available from macromedia for
linux the sites work as expected.
I use the Crossover plugin with Mozilla on RH7.1 and do not crash at the sites
you mention. Works perfectly. Which build ID are you using?
The version of Shockwave Director i downloaded was
shockwaveinstaller.exe size 680136 byte
about:plugins show:
Shockwave for Director
File name: /home/dark/DISK/mozilla/dist/bin/plugins/npwine.np32dsw.so
Macromedia Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 8.5
(/home/dark/crossover/support/dotwine/fake_windows/Netscape/Communicator/Program/plugins/np32dsw.dll)

sheesh, I feel stupid not having supplied a build ID.
it's build 2001101008 on Redhat 7.1
would you mind paste your about:plugins info here regarding shockwave director?
My own full about:plugins can be found at http://home.c2i.net/dark/myplugins.html
Reporter: Do you have Java installed? Does the crash also occure if you disable
(unlink) the java plugin?
Are all file attributes on the crossover plugins correct?
Reporter: Please see comment from Codeweavers in bug 99656
Does upgrading the plugin help?
Over two months and no reply from reporter.
I see no crash anywhere with either flash nor shockwave flash/crossover.
Testing with current CVS Linux, RH7.1. Patch from Codeweavers is good.
Resolving as WFM.
