From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.5+) Gecko/20011015
BuildID: 2001101503 & Release 0.9.5
Visited links are now the same color as unvisited, starting with my installation
of release 0.9.5. Reproduces ALMOST every time, but I saw a few CORRECTLY
colored visited links, only at bugzilla, while searching reported bugs.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit an URL, on the WWW or local
2. Go back to page linking to that URL immediately OR later
3. Look for color to have changed.
Actual Results: Link colors did not change for visited links, as set in
preferences.
Expected Results: Link colors should change, as set in preferences.
Sounds like old bug 93302, except almost all visited links do not change color.

After 6 hours of this behavior, and MOMENTS after (finally deciding to)
reporting this bug, visited links are back to changing color!

Visited links are once again uncolored after Mozilla crashed (viewing CNN.com)
and was restarted.
Comment 4•24 years ago

crashing means you don't save the history.... which means that there is no way
to tell that the links are visited.

History was still there, and going forth and back from and to links still did
not show color change rest of day. Installed same build (2001101503) at home and
have not seen this bug.

More notes on behavior of this bug:
Visited Links were uncolored when started up this a.m. Once again, after about
two hours of use, visited links became colored again, including links that had
not been visited since yesterday. Exiting and relaunching causes links to
UNcolor. BACK button DOES work while links are uncolored.

Here is how to reproduce the problem every time on Windows 2000, Mozilla 0.9.5
(build 2001101117). Note, do NOT use quick launch.
1. Start Mozilla.
2. Pick your favorite site and click on a few links.
3. Close Mozilla.
4. Start Mozilla with the "-mail" option.
5. Once mail is up and running, click on the Navigator icon on the lower left
corner of the Mozilla mail window.
6. Browse some sites. No links will appear with the visited link color.
7. Click on a few links that you didn't click on in step 2.
Now for the interesting part. Follow these steps:
8. Close down Mozilla.
9. Start Mozilla WITHOUT the "-mail" option, so you can navigate sites immediately.
10. Go back to the site that you visited in step 2.
All of the links that you clicked on it step 2 now show up as visited. All of
the links that you click on in step 7 do NOT show up as visited.
As long as I start the browser part of Mozilla first and THEN start the mail
client, visited links change color. If I start the mail part first, I can forget
about getting visited links to change color.

Yes, bug 104613 is definitely the same bug. These must have been in the pipeline
together, as my pre-report search would have found it.
