Dear Developers,

In message compose window after happening autocomplete from address book the to: text box, when I press SHIFT+TAB key combination, Thunderbird add a new to: text box, the caret not jump default the address type combo box.
Testcase:
1. Launch Thunderbird, and press CTRL+N keystroke.
2. Begin type an e-mail address with have your address book.
3. If autocomplete correct happened, press SHIFT+TAB key combination.
Expected result:
The caret need jumping the address type combo box with possible you change the address type (to, cc, bcc, etc).
Actual result:
After SHIFT+TAB key press Thunderbird presenting a new to: text box. If I want changing the previous typed e-mail address type, need pressing three shift+TAB key combination after the empty to: text box presented the screen.
After presented the empty to: text box, the first SHIFT+TAB key press jumping the empty to: text box address type. :-):-)

Look what happening if an e-mail address not added with the address book, testcase with producing the expected result:
1. Launch Thunderbird, and press CTRL+N keystroke.
2. Type an e-mail address with not have your address book, for example [e-mail].
3. Press SHIFT+TAB keystroke.
This situation the caret jumps correct the to: combo box and possible changing the actual typed e-mail address address type.

Affected Thunderbird releases:
31.0, 33.x and higher development versions.

Hi Thomas,

I checked Thunderbird latest nightly build 31.5.0 version.
In message compose window me works correct too the TAB and SHIFT+TAB keystrokes.
When happening autocompletion in 31.5.0 nightly build version and press SHIFT+TAB keystroke, the caret jumps now correct the proper combo box.
After autocompletion when I press TAB key, the caret jumps correct the subject line.
When I tested this change I used following localized nightly build Thunderbird 31.5.0 version:
