I started noticing today on nightly that there were several, 1s lag pauses when scrolling, watching videos, etc. I went to about:memory (report attached). When hitting "minimize memory usage", Firefox froze for ~10s. Then, measuring gave me about ~400MB of memory for compartments referring to tabs I had since closed. The attached report lists a lot of ghost windows. I've had to restart the browser. In case this happens again, what can I do to help debug this further? Thanks, ~ jonathan

Save memory report wtih CC & GC logs may be helpful.
Contents of about:support would also be useful! This may be extension-related.

The about:memory log doesn't say much other than, yep, you've got lots of ghost windows. Experience says that this is most likely due to an extension, so the about:support contents will be most useful. If you do have a number of extensions enabled, the next step is to selectively disable them in order to find out which one (if any) is the cause. I know this is annoying, but there's no simpler way to do it, unfortunately.
The phenomenon hasn't re-occurred since I filed this bug report, and I have found no way to re-trigger it. I'm still on the lookout and I do check about:memory regularly, but nothing's popped up so far. I'll update the bug if this happens again.
Thanks for the update. I'll mark this as resolved, but please reopen if necessary.
