Details

While accessing the bookmarks menu from the menu toolbar or the Personal toolbar, typing an 'A' should bring focus to the first folder or bookmark beginning with an 'A'. Typing 'A' again would take the focus to the next one and so on. If focus goes to the bottom and there are none left it starts back at the top again. If there are no 'A's, it does nothing. The only conflict I could see here are the menu items that already have underlined characters. The solution would be to treat them as bookmarks as well so that when the letter is typed focus only goes to the item and does not open it (this is also how windows treats multiple underlined characters in the same menu). When there is only one item starting with 'A' it would give focus to that item and 1) if it is a folder list the contents 2) if it is a bookmark go to that URL. This behavior is similar to that of the windows start menu. It would be great functionality, intuitive for most users (in the world) and - I suspect - not horribly difficult to impliment as well.
