Not sure if bug or what. I don't think having an upper left curve is necessary at all.

This is explicitly using the same background we use in the tabs tray. We can change easily change it to black. antlam, thoughts?

I think it makes sense to see the tab tray icon color peeking through.
If discovered, this can make a lot of sense in terms of a spacial model for the tab being "above" the tray, but on the flip side would be confusing if it's not consistent in color (again, if detectable). So, I think we should keep it as is.
That being said, (for the future) I just wanted to point out that we are also fully aware of the new guidelines around the notifications bar (currently black) in the new Materials design. I think this is worth calling out because that might make this little corner more obvious (or not) when it comes out and people get more used to it.
