Steps to reproduce:

I opened the "About"-Dialogue from the Help Menue to find out which Version is installed.


Actual results:

I couldn't read any Information with Jaws. I could only tab to the links.


Expected results:

The Info-Box should be readable.

Yasemin, do you also see this with version 38?  
Is it perhaps same issue as bug 833289?

Jean-Philippe, can you reproduce this with your screen reader?

Yasemin is gone apparently. I would hope this has since been resolved.

Hi,

Actually the bug lacks of precision. What I would say, and probably the user says, is: this dialog is not browsable at all with the caret. It means that to get the version information, one needs to use specific features of the screen reader (flat review in NVDA, Jaws cursor in Jaws).

So I would recommend to rename the bug "The caret cannot move everywhere in the About dialog". And it would be more a wishlist than a blocking bug.

If the reporter confirms that even with the Jaws cursor he cannot get the information, I can say Nightly seems to fix it, even if I will check with the WIndows users community (they use very much Thunderbird in this time)

This dialog has changed a lot since then. The version number is now tabable, and the dialog information is read by JAWS when the dialog opens. Closing as WFM.
