Details

I don't know exactly how, but somehow external apps are launched differently
than IE. For a specific example, I have Winamp set to "enqueue as default
action". To set this in winamp, choose options/preferenced/File types then check
the "Enqueue as default action" checkbox in the lower right-hand corner. When I
click on m3u files in IE, it just adds the files to the winamp playlist (if
winamp is currently running). If I have an m3u file locally and I type "start
file.m3u" in an MSDOS window, it has the same behavior. Also, the same behavior
happens when I click on an m3u file in an Explorer local file-manager window.
But if I click on an m3u file in mozilla, it clears out the current playlist and
starts playing the first song in the m3u playlist! This is not good as I prefer
to have m3u playlists to append to my current playlist rather than clobber it.
So I'm not sure mozilla is launching winamp differently than Explorer/Internet
Explorer, but it is and I find it annoying. Thanks.
