Windows 7
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/31.1.0
If I try to send an E-mail message to a mailing list that is in my Address Book, I get an error popup as shown in the attachment. I know this worked at the beginning of 2014.
As there is no work-around, I am marking Severity as Major. Note: The PopMailListRecipients extension no longer decomposes mailing lists into their individual addresses. That extension would have been a work-around if only it worked.

On my wife's PC, which still has Thunderbird 31.0, this problem does not appear. Thus, this is a new regression introduced with Thunderbird 31.1.
Confirm problem related to update to 31.1. I reverted to 31.0 and now everything working fine again.

It seems to me that the problem is particularly when putting the group in BCC. using the same group in To: is fine.

Did you look at the attachment? It shows the problem with a mailing list entered in the To: line.
