Filing this bug to track visual improvements to the less impressive search term "cards" that we currently have in for V1. These improvements probably won't be in for V1 though. Unless, there are strong desires from someone else? After receiving some feedback about the absence of visuals in this stage and while keeping in mind the hopes and dreams for our cards in the future, I'm going to try and figure out a better interim solution. The goal of this bug would be to make "search terms" in the "history" view, strictly more visually appealing, while keep in mind the rest of the UI/UX. Attaching overview but focus on the 1st and 2nd views for this bug.
antlam, did you just attach that mock-up to show the current state of things? Other than the branding changes (bug 1049600), that looks like what we currently have.

The visual inconsistency between 2 and 3 seems odd. Can we do the same clustering in 2 without a lot of pain? It'd look a lot tighter. I think Maps does this very well (history icon annotation, option to expand results) in the attached screenshot. I'd naively assume adding a stock icon + grouping entries is very viable. Margaret, thoughts?

Yeah, the design for 3 is supposed to happen in bug 1051973, but I feel like it would be nice to see that in 2 as well. The more list-like appearance (and more square corners) feel more Android-y to me. > I'd naively assume adding a stock icon + grouping entries is very viable. > Margaret, thoughts? Correct, adding an icon and changing the appearance of the list shouldn't be hard. (Right now we're just applying a background to list items to make them look like cards.)
I'm going to dupe this to bug 1051973. Let's just use that bug to figure out the appearance of both the history/suggestion items.
