Steps to reproduce:

Thunderbird v31.1.1

I typed a new message and pushed the button "send".
After this the window opened to type in the POP3 password.
Then I pressed "cancel" because I wanted to edit my message.


Actual results:

The message - that was not sent yet - was saved in the SENT folder.


Expected results:

I expected that this unsent message was saved in the DRAFT folder even as in former versions of Thunderbird.
Your operation may produce similar "error during send" to Bug 780124, so same problem as Bug 780124 may occur.
Get SMTP log and check log file Content by yourself using Text Editor. 
Same problem as that bug?
