What did you do? ================ 1. Went to an MDN page 2. Clicked edit 3. Copied something from the WYSIWYG 4. Pasted it somewhere else (normal paste, not Shift+paste) What happened? ============== None of the markup/styling seems to be preserved, except for nbsp; and <br>. Everything else is stripped out. What should have happened? ========================== It should paste the content with the markup/styling preserved. This is making creating reference documentation a complete pain in the ... Is there anything else we should know? ====================================== From testing we have done, this bug appears in Firefox Nightly on Mac/Linux, and Firefox final on Mac. It seems to work on Firefox final on Linux, and Nightly/release on Windows. It works fine in Chrome ;-|

I cannot reproduce. On a Mac... 1) In Aurora, I copied content from Web Console and pasted[0]. It renders properly. 2) In Firefox 30, I copied content from Style Editor and pasted[0]. It renders properly. 3) In Firefox 32.0.3, I copied content from the Web Audio Editor and pasted[0]. It renders properly. [0]https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/User:hoosteeno

I wasn't able to reproduce it either, and I'm copying spec and compat tables on a regular basis (~5-10 times on bad weeks)

(In reply to Māris Fogels [:mars] from comment #3) > @cmills, are you still seeing this issue? I'm afraid so. I just made sure Nightly, Aurora and Production were up to date, then tried copy and paste again. Same issue in all three (Mac OSX.) This is really weird.

I've done some more testing. copy and paste works fine on Nightly/Aurora/Production on my Windows and Ubuntu installs. But not on Mac OSX. Any ideas? This is driving my insane. I can't do my work efficiently without the copy and paste feature. And my primary OS is Mac ;-(

Correction - it doesn't work on Nightly/Trunk on Ubuntu.

I have finally got my copy and paste functionality back! T fix it, I reset my Firefox profile; I suspect it was having e10s enabled that caused it; but it may have been something else.
