In YouTube when you close a tab while that tab has a video playing.. The Plugin Container will not close itself and you can still hear the sound of the video playing in the background. Thanks for reading!

I see this sometimes, I think we should get this into a milestone and investigate.

since youtube doesn't have flash anymore, posting current test cases where you've seen this would be appreciated.

I just got this on a news video. I closed a tab but the video kept playing, so I closed all tabs except one about:newtab. The plugin container continued to run/play after the content process shutdown. After the video completed playing after about 5 minutes, the plugin container finally shutdown.
I'm not sure what to look for yet when I catch this plugin process in the debugger.

Hmm, now it looks like the site was feeding me html5 video, so maybe the content process was failing to shutdown. Doing some more debugging..

and now I can't reproduce despite multiple tries.
STR:
1) open a long html5 video on youtube that will require some network caching
2) open a new tab to about:newtab
3) play the video for a bit
4) close the video tab
sometimes the video keeps playing until complete, then the content process shuts down.

I am able to reproduce this on Win8.1 using the video link in comment #6. When I play that and context click on the video it shows it is playing Flash v. 16.0.0.x.
I just have to close the tab and the sound keeps going. At some point the tab crashes.
I couldn't reproduce this with HTML5 videos on youtube.

I ran in to this last night, after starting to watch the video at http://www.wxyz.com/news/region/detroit/people-making-the-move-from-new-york-city-to-detroit
I opened the tab in a "New Window", then closed the window by clicking on the X of the tab (which closed the window since it was the only tab in the window). After the window was closed, the audio from the video continued playing although I couldn't see the video anywhere. The only way for me to fix this was to repeatedly kill plugin-container.exe until I found the right one.
Unfortunately I can't reproduce it now.
