Details
Share/Marks can use the target element from the context menu to initiate several types of sharing, one part of which is getting microdata from that element (and its children). Since the page data gathering has to move into the tab process, we run into the same problem as bug 1039528, which is that we cannot pass the target element over to the tab process (seems oddly backwards). The solution suggested in bug 1039528 is unlikely to work in this instance, but maybe it will.

SocialAPI was removed from Firefox 57 and is no longer available in any current release.
