From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.77 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.4.7-SMP i686) BuildID: 2001102910 (I am submitting this *Mozilla* bug with Netscape 4.77, so please ignore the non-editable field saying this is about 4.77) If Mozilla window is resized smaller while viewing a PDF file using Adobe's nppdf.so plug-in, then the plug-in does not respond. The scroll bars are not re-positioned to remain visible, etc. as happens under Netscape 4.77. The same version of nppdf.so is being used in both Mozilla and Netscape (identical md5sums). Under Netscape 4.77, resizing smaller in either axis causes the scroll bars to be shrunk (and any obscured scroll bar to be re-drawn). Under Mozilla, nothing happens, and if you resize such that the scroll bars are no longer visible, you can not scroll. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install nppdf.so in the plugins dir (from www.adobe.com) 2. View any pdf file (a local file works) 3. Grab the lower-right corner and resize upward/leftward to shrink the window so the scroll bars are no longer visible. Actual Results: Nothing happens. Expected Results: Scroll-bars should be redrawn within the resized window. I will attach screen shots of Mozilla and Netscape 4.77 showing the difference.
I just noticed the following messages issued on stdout/stderr when opening a PDF file. It looks like a problem with the plug-in??? This is surely a duplicate of bug 101974. (I don't have permission to mark it as such, though.)

Jim, your comment #3 seems to not have been noticed. Maybe you should file it as a new bug, as it is not very related to 101974?
OK, I opened bug 118403 with the missing-action messages described in comment #3 above, as they occur when the PDF file is opened and may not relate to the resize problem.
