This bug report motivated by customer who encountered Error -1003 during an attempted installation of 6.1 on the Mac. It appears that she was not online at the time she launched the stub installer, thus no xpi packages could be downloaded instead returning the error dialog on her Mac OS 8.6. I am able to reproduce this on Mac OS 9.1. EXPECTED RESULT: Perhaps we can provide text information about what the problem is about. A numerical error gives the end-user no way to resolve the problem prompting a necessary call for support.

Reopening, the three native installers all have independent code, so fixing the windows bug 48623 will not fix the Mac installer. Setting platform to match bug description
