From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.4) Gecko/20011019 Netscape6/6.2 BuildID: 123455678 I use a dial-up service which launches the browser automatically after I connect, and disconnects automatically when I close the browser. If I use quicklaunch, this feature becomes unavailable, as the browser never really closes. I like that the browser pops right up when I connect, but I would like it to automatically disconnect when I'm through. I'm aware that this is probably a pipe dream, but hey, maybe some hacker out there wants to try and fix this. For reference, I use Prodigy Internet.
Component: Browser-General → QuickLaunch (AKA turbo mode)
Summary: Auto-disconnect and quick launch → quick launch: closing last browser window should let prodigy disconnect from internet
If mozilla is running in quicklaunch and you connect, does it pop open a new window? You can completly exit mozilla by selecting File->exit.
Depends on: dial-on-demand
Yes, it opens a new window. I think the software literally just sends an http request to the system which prompts the default browser to pop up.
would it help if the browser dials the modem when go online (mode) and disconnect the modem when goes offline (mode)? See bug: 93002.

James, quick launch works differently now: instead of keeping the Mozilla process in memory when you close the last window, it exits and then launches a new Mozilla process in order to conserve memory. Does this work correctly in a newer version of Mozilla? If it does, please mark this as a dup of bug 98673. If this still doesn't work, check if the bug also happens with Quick Launch turned off. This might just be bug 106044.
Quicklaunch/Turbo Mode is no longer supported in Seamonkey 2 and Seamonkey1.X is in the maintenance mode (fixing only security bugs)
