User Story
== Featured Articles HP == 1. An editor can select a story for display under featured articles by topic, this could be done with a category "Featured HP" but we are open to ideas. 2. When selected that article would appear under it's **Primary** category on the HP. 3. If nothing is selected we should default to the most recent in the 'Featued' category == Recent Articles HP == 1. Editors can manually select which articles appear under recent articles. 2. This can be done via category or other means. 3. Should be sorted by pub date, most recent first. 4. Editors can add unlimited number of articles.
Editors would like to be able to curate featured articles by topic without adjusting the pub dates of articles.
See user story for implementation details.

Adding a bit to this based on recent conversation. In addition to curating featured articles, Anthony would like to exactly curate everything under recent articles. User story updated.

Just to make sure I understand.
Right now, we show the most recent post with 'Featured' in each topic in the "featured articles by topic" section.
What you want instead is a method independent of the 'Featured' category to assign posts to this section?
And for the recent articles section, you would like to allow for an arbitrary collection of posts to be shown here?

Yep this is correct, the user story on this one contains the fallbacks if nothing is manually chosen.

Ok I pushed the changes for the featured section. I still need to implement the recent posts part.

Ok this is done. I tested a lot of permutations, but would be good to see if it works as expected with a more fleshed out data set.

Can you add to the documentation under /homepage.html how to manage each section?

The below is what I have in the docs from the PR
https://www.evernote.com/shard/s24/sh/e6aef6ae-75ac-4b81-bb27-183483533234/9a15b32885e79454f2728adc5bf2c11c
I do not think they were updated.

All the changes look good.
Can you update the categories.html doc to include the new hp categories. Once that's in this task is complete.

Actually I will go ahead and update the docs in a second pass. No need to wait on this.
I will go ahead and merge.
