STR:
0. Have headphones plugged in. WARNING: be ready for loud noise. (maybe don't put your earbuds in all the way)
1. Open FM Radio app & start listening to some radio station.
2. Use volume rocker to reduce radio volume to a low level. (For demonstration purposes, let's say 1 bar, lowest possible still-audible level.)
3. Now: trigger a system notification noise, by doing any of the following:
(a) receive a text
(b) take a screenshot by hitting power & volume-down
(c) switch to camera app & take a photo
Repeat step 3 several times. (The notification sound might not trigger it.)
ACTUAL RESULTS:
Some high fraction of the time (maybe 1/2 to 1/4 of the time), there's an EXTREMELY LOUD noise (usually a pop or a click, or really-loud radio noise), between the notification sound ending & the radio resuming. It can be loud enough to cause physical pain, if you're using earbuds.
This has made me hesitant to use the radio app, lest I receive a text & get a deafening click after the text notification noise; hence, adding "dogfood" keyword.
I'm using a Flame with FxOS 2.1 build, on the "aurora" update channel. (up to date as of last night)

Sorry, I meant to say "The *first* notification sound might not trigger it."

Here's an audio recording of the bug, from connecting my phone's headphone jack to my computer's mic jack.
In this recording, I took 3 photos using the camera, to trigger 3 system notification sounds. (a subtle "click") There's a volume spike for each one.
The first spike is a pop, the second spike is extremely-loud radio noise, and the third spike has 2 bursts of extremely-loud radio noise.
(The radio audio level is pretty low here, just because that's the level it's recorded at when connecting the headphone jack w/ a reasonable-volume to my mic jack.)

I was unable to repro this on my Unagi, running a locally-made FxOS 2.2 build from a few days ago.
(So, this might be Flame-specific, or it might've been fixed in 2.2, or the Unagi might just be immune for some reason.)
This has been an issue on my Flame for quite a while (in 2.0 and 2.1); I only just now got around to making a recording of the issue so that I could file a useful bug.

Duping to bug 866353, which seems to have been filed on this last year.
