I haven't been able to reproduce this one but one of our dog fooders was kind enough to provide an animated gif: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/86269810/alder-forget.gif which clearly demonstrates the problem.
from reports, I think this one happens only to 64bit Linux users.
