As a signed-in user, I want my FxA Avatar picture to appear at the bottom left of the panel. Acceptance criteria: * When signed in, if the user has set an avatar in FxA, this avatar gets displayed at the bottom of the panel * When signed in, if the user has not set an avatar in FxA, the default avatar gets displayed at the bottom of the panel * When signed-in, clicking the avatar (being FxA avatar or default avatar), takes the user to the FxA change avatar page (https://accounts.firefox.com/settings/avatar/change)

need UX to add option to add picture to FxA accounts.

This will be taken care of by the FxA settings/account page. Perhaps clicking the avatar in the footer could take you there (our settings option in the gear drop-down does this already)? Ryan, can you comment here on when this feature will be available on the account page?

Will be on the next train in 2 weeks, and in production the following Monday. https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-content-server/releases

Updating the US with acceptance criteria.
The FxA avatar can be set to a gravatar attached to the e-mail registered with FxA from within the FxA settings. This means there is already a way to leverage gravatar with the FxA registered e-mail address.

how to do i get to the FxA settings/account page? I'm probably being totally dense, sorry. In firefox nightly 37.oa1 I go to customize menu and into preferences (the settings gear where stuff normally is) - but there's not an "accounts" option or any place to add an Avatar picture. have i not done something or am just looking in the wrong place?
i have a Hello account - which has a settings menu - but i know that account isn't linked 100% (and there's no FxA Avatar picture)

The account item from the Loop gear menu should take you to your account page (https://accounts.firefox.com/settings) but my understanding is that the option to change your avatar isn't exposed yet by the FxA team.

You can change it if you go to https://accounts.firefox.com/settings and then click on "Change" underneath your default avatar.
It works for me.

That option doesn't appear for me: http://grab.by/DYrU
Are you sure you're not on a dev./stage site? Perhaps it got rolled back?

Strange, it works for me on Nightly and beta and even on Chrome 39 although when accessing https://accounts.firefox.com/settings from Fx35 GA the option to set the avatar does not appear.
Ryan maybe you can help clarify if the ability to set an FxA avatar on https://accounts.firefox.com/settings is dependent upon the browser version? Is-it safe to assume that this will be enabled for all when Fx36 hits GA?

It's there because you used a mozilla.com email address.
