User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0
Build ID: 20141114030206
Steps to reproduce:
No known way to reproduce.
Actual results:
I have just started using the e10s nightlies. Sometimes I will middle-click on a tab and as that tab is opening Firefox will freeze and the GUI will turn white and become unresponsive. On a whim one time I tried killing plugin-container.exe and immediately when I did that the browser started responding again. Since then I have been able to unfreeze the browser that way.
However whenever I unfreeze there is a message in each open tab stating Tab crashed 'Try again'. For each tab if I click on that button it either will work or do nothing. What always works in every tab is clicking on reload.
Expected results:
.

In addition, do you see the same issue with e10s disabled?

I had the same thing happening to me probably 2-3 times in the last week. It occurred mostly after I opened maybe two new tabs and tried to close one of them while they're still loading.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true

To make sure we are on the same page here you wanted me to install the profiler extension?
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Performance/Reporting_a_Performance_Problem
I installed it. Are there any settings I should change? Am I supposed to let it run for several days? Also, if I click stop instead of analyze where is the profile file stored? I can't find it.

It's unlikely I'll encounter this issue with e10s disabled because the issue is rare and there's no way to reproduce that I know of and I have e10s enabled by default.

I can't keep running this profiler firefox keeps freezing for no reason. I have two profiles I clicked analyze on and they are both NtWaitForMultipleObjects waiting. I uploaded the one from just now. It is a separate issue, I guess.

Ray, does it still happen with newer nightly?

No Wayne it hasn't happened in at least several weeks. I've been using Nightly e10s daily since I posted and I update it manually every week or so. My other GUI freeze issues are gone as well. I don't know why. Nothing on my system has changed aside from Nightly updates and Windows updates. There is one thing I've been doing differently for a while now which is I rarely ever allow flash when I visit webpages. I don't know if that's related.
