Also happening with older versions of mozregression.

There's no reason this *shouldn't* work, as we do have inbound builds in the archive now:

(note I'm not saying it *does* work, just that we should be able to make it work) :)

Released mozregression 0.28 with the fix.
0.28 fixes the problem, yes.
bug 1096246 is a dupe.
