User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0 Build ID: 20141127004008 Steps to reproduce: - Type search phrase for first recipient; first result example (1) 'ted@abc.tld' - Select from autocomplete results list and hit 'left arrow' key; selected recipient (2) 'ted@xyz.tld' - hit 'down arrow' key to go to next line Actual results: instead of having 'ted@xyz.tld' (2) in the previous recipient field it shows 'ted@abc.tld' (1) after moving to the next line. Only when moving to the next line using the 'return' key 'ted@xyz.tld' (2) remains. Expected results: As it is possible to a) make a selection via the 'left arrow' key and b) go to the next address field via the 'down arrow' key the selected recipient should remain in the previous address field Might depend on bug 260564 and bug 440377.

I believe I am seeing something similar to this on Windows with Thunderbird 31.3.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/31.3.0 Steps to reproduce: -Type search phrase for first recipient (could be as simple as a single character) -Select any item except the first match in the auto completed list with a left mouse click. -hits "enter" key to go to the next line. Actual results: -instead of your intended/selection showing, the first auto-completed entry is chosen. Expected results: - after pressing enter key, my selection should be chosen, not the first match. Other notes: This does not happen if you use the arrow keys like this: -type search phase -Use down arrow key to navigate to desired result/selection. -Press enter (correct selection is chosen) Does not happen if you double click the intended selection, though this moves you to the "Subject" field and not down one selection in the Recipient list. Does this mean that the left click (or left arrow key in alberts's case) is not actually selecting the intended result? -Joel
I did a bit of digging in case it would help. I see this bug introduced between the nightly builds of 2014-11-24-03-02-01-comm-esr31 20141124030201 (bug not present) and 2014-11-26-03-02-03-comm-esr31 20141126030203 (bug present). I've also tested this with and without LDAP and it is present in both cases. -Joel
