Are appearing Japanese characters (Chinese?) In Firefox tabs. Sometimes, the characters also appear in Firefox pages or sites.

Add-on issue maybe. Does it appear on various websites or only when browsing a specific website?
When it appears, could you restart FF in safe mode, please:

some other affected users tied the issue to the mcafee site advisor extension - please try to disable or remove that in case you have it present.
