indeed, drop bugreport#111159, but change priority from normal into blocking (it stops me from migrating from NS to mozilla) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 93438 ***

i don't think so. i think this is related to bug 35509 And it's not a blocker because there's a workaround described in that bug.
Severity: blocker → normal

reporter: what product and build id were you using? bug reporting guidelines http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html and the Bugzilla Helper http://www.mozilla.org/quality/help/bug-form.html I'm assuming you were using mozilla, since this is the mozilla bug database. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 35509 ***

bob, you are talking about a simple migration right. If so, we need to check this out. bug 35509 is for importing 4.7 address book which happens manually by user. Migration is when a 4.7 profile is migrated to your 6.2 profile using Migration via the Profile Manager (if you have multiple 4.7 profiles) or automatically when installing 6.x for the first time on a system that has only (1) 4.7 profile. Please give me some steps on what happened to you. Note: in these steps include if you had previous builds of 6.x on your system when you tried to migrate the 4.7 profile. Also note as stated in bug 93438 we don't migrate LDAP address books form the 4.7 profile, only your Personal Address book. Thanks.

I spoke with Scott MacGregor and he states that it is the same problem. If we could import the 4.x AB into Mozilla then we could also migrate it. Unfortunately this isn't possible right now. So it does appear to be a dupe. I can change the summary of 35509 to include the term "migrate" to make this more clear.
