User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.2)
Gecko/20010726 Netscape6/6.1
BuildID: Netscape 6.1 PR 1
After installing teh Netscape 6 client, it converts any previous address books
and LDAP directories. You can initially see these address books and LDAP
directories in the Address Book window, but after subsequent use of the product,
these disappear and the only address books visible are the Collected Addresses
and Personal Address Books.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Netscape 6
2. Migrate an existing Communicator Profile
3. View the Address Book window
Actual Results: You only see Collected and Personal Address Books
Expected Results: You should see all of the original profile's address books.

should this bug not moved to bugscape ?
Mozilla can't import the NS4.7x adress book. (because the adress-book code is
not open source)

I believe the disappeared address books are the LDAP directories. In 6.x we
treat the LDAP directories different from 4.x. I need some investigation on how
we fix this problem.
If you saw the disappeared address books are the user defined address book not
the LDAP directories, please comment in the bug.
I tested on win2000 using 6.1 release build. All my 4.x personal address books
migrated fine. I have total 7 address books with 4 user defined address book
and 3 LDAP directories. The only disappeared ones are the 4.x LDAP directories
(Netcenter Member Directory, InfoSpace Directory, Verisign Directory).
What this bug should fix is not to show the 4.x LDAP directories in the first
place, so ir won't cause confusion when it disappears on the second re-start.
As I said, the missing address books are the 4.x ldap directories. There may be
cards in it as a seach result. Since now LDAP doesn't really use MORK database.
We are not migrating those LDAP address books.
For this bug, I will have patch for the fix as I commented in this bug on 8/31.
The fix is in the patch for bug 70396.
