Details

I get the following message in a windows error dialog box: The procedure entry point ?ToNewUnicode@nsString@@QBEPAGXZ could not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll. This happens immediately after upgrade when the browser starts up. This particular message occurred in my transition from 0.9.5 to 0.9.6. I got a simmilar message upgrading from 0.9.4 to 0.9.5. Upon running the talkback enabled 0.9.6 installer (mozilla-win32-0.9.6-installer.exe) it asked me to make sure mozilla was shutdown. I had to enter the win2k task manager and kill the mozilla.exe process. During installation I chose to enable the quicklaunch bar and to install in the default dir (detected my old install?) and a complete install. Note this did not impede the functionality of the browser at all, but it was just another anoying windows message. ;->

you should not install mozilla over an older build... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 108515 ***
