There is almost no difference between the background color of selected and not selcected rows in the search engine preferences.

How, I didn't know this was a known issue, I included a workaround for the text color of the selected row: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/annotate/9bb8b0b4daae/browser/themes/shared/incontentprefs/search.css#l43

That can now be removed.
